Remember how yesterday it was so cold in my office. Well, I complained and boy did it get fixed. Yesterday afternoon the room temperature started climbing. By 9 pm it was 82 degrees in here and I even had my door open. When I came in this morning it was 87 degrees. Why these extremes!? The maintenance guy came again today and I think he fixed it. The temperature has been slowly dropping. This building is crazy. You can't even open any of the windows. I think it might be bullet proof.

That reminds me of my office at PV. From April through October you could count on the thermostat set to 67 degrees, which can't be changed unless you have a key and an electronic code. November through March it was set to 75. I wore t-shirts in the winter and sweaters in the summer, and I kept an extra cardigan and small blanket (thanks, Northwest Airlines...) in the file cabinet next to my desk. Yet another item of proof that mental health care providers very often lack that which they are to provide to their patients.
By the way, it's gorgeous down here in NM, and thanks to El Nino we might actually get some snow this winter. That will be nice. I hope your office cooperates soon, and if not, I hope that you are at least having some nice fall weather.
