A Sigh of Relief

Exciting news: I just finished my last requirement of the semester. It was a take-home final that was supposed to answer the question "what happened to the Paleo-Indians, when and why?" I thought it would be no sweat because it was only supposed to be three to five pages long. As I was researching and writing I began to realize it was going to be hard to synthesize all the information in a concise three to five page essay. The whole thing probably took longer than studying for a final test. Well, whatever, it's done.

Now I have a week off ... except I should really read the textbook for my summer presession class. Hmmm ... they just opened the pool and hot tub here at Huntington Park/Palace/Estates/Whatever this week so maybe I'll just sit by the pool and read fun stuff instead. Very tempting.

Later today I am traveling home to SoDak. with Nick, who is moving some stuff back and maybe doing some job searching. Speaking of jobs, I resigned from my MHA job effective May 21. I know I've said this before, but I really hope I can find an archaeological job this summer or frankly any job at this point since I don't have MHA to fall back on anymore.

Alrighty then, I better get to school to hand this final in before Dr. Hughes stops accepting them at 10 am.

Well, I came here to ask if you're going to hear Rachel Reis at Mokas tonight, but I suppose the answer is no, unless your trip to SD was a really short one. Congrats on being done with school for the semester.
