Idris Elba, who played Stringer Bell in The Wire, is really British. Can you believe it? You might also know him as the new regional manager/boss/whatever from The Office. But it is more surprising if you first knew him from The Wire and American Gangster.

I heard an interview with him on NPR a couple weeks ago, so had a heads up that the new boss on the Office was actually British - I didn't know who he was, so I didn't care. If only I had told you sooner. I could have saved you from the biggest suprise on March 29th and made it. . .another day!
I love the movie American Gangster. I watched it twice in two days. Or perhaps I love the movie plus the special feature of the real story combo. Good stuff.
We're not going to be able to make the game on the 11th. That is when we are doing extended family stuff. I'm really sorry I can't do it. I would like to see a game sometime.
