I Had a Hunkerin' for a Donut

Mmmm ... I just had a delicious raspberry filled donut for breakfast. I figured I needed some heavy and sugary brain food because I'm about to start writing a paper. But before I go wash off my sticky fingers I thought I'd do a little blog postin'.

We are closing on the new house tomorrow at 3:30 pm and we have to be out of the apartment by this Monday so it is going to be a crazy couple of days. Apparently, someone is waiting to move into our apartment so Jeremy opted to move out early to save $400 on rent (how nice of him NOT to consult with me). I have a paper due today and a test on Monday, plus Reed and Sue are coming this weekend for Fall Fest activites at Bethel. I told Javers I probably cannot help move at this point. I really do hate moving, but I still feel guilty I won't be able to help. He got some football player friends to help load and unload the moving truck on Friday so at least Jeremy's not moving furniture all by himself.

Kellie, I wanted to tell you I saw a Race for the Cure (fundraising event for breast cancer research) in Wichita. It happened this weekend and I signed up for the 5K. I actually ended up getting third place in my age category (25-30) out of 45 or so people. That's pretty cool - I didn't realize I was so speedy. Plus they had a bunch of booths there giving away free things like bananas, lotion, scarves, Starbuck's coffee, etc. It was like the fair!
