I am Dumb

Last night I went for a run on the Sedwick County Park trails (it's near the zoo and Javers' apartment) and I lost my car key again. You think I would have learned my lesson. Nope. I was retracing my steps and asking everyone I passed if they had seen a key lying on the path. Finally, one lady said she saw some kid playing with a key that looked like mine on a part of the path that was about 3/4 mile away. I booked it over there and the key was propped up on a stick coming out of the ground. Thank God!! Okay folks, second time's a charm. You know how sometimes you just believe in something so strongly that you convince yourself it will work. Well, I will stop trying to prove to myself that my idea to weave my car key in my shoelaces is genius and come up with a new solution.

Hey Schrag!
I cannot believe how lucky you've been with finding your keys! What nice little kids to proudly prop up the key. Hope life is treating you well.

Hey, I will send you one of the many athletic key chain rings we have lying around the house. You are incredibly lucky! We ate with the Schrags today at Marion. We all shared how our children are struggling with money. Someday it will get better. MOM

Have you ever tried undoing one lace from one eyelet, then stringing your key onto that lace, lacing it back through the eyelet then tying your shoe? That's worked for me before.

So maybe along with my purses that I'm making I should make a line of "things to secure your key to your person whilst jogging"...

Leno's got the baby animals on tonight...all the cuddlies are reminding me of Ber With the Pinched Lips.

My solution to this problem is simple...don't go running. If you don't go running you won't have to worry about losing your keys...I'm a genius!

Or you might just be lazy......

Ha, thanks for all the tips. Yeah, I was incredibly lucky to track down my key. I have tried the lace thing (Ern's suggestion). It takes a little extra time, but not as long as it takes me to search for a lost key so I might return to the lacing it in tactic.

I tried a lanyard too (from Sue), but I didn't like the thumping on my chest.

Something knitted from Sarah intrigues me and Mike, I really can't argue with your suggestion.

I guess I will have to figure something out because I don't want this to happen again!
